Today was one of those days I felt like God was holding my hand and leading me from one lovely event to another. It actually brought me to tears of joy.

We started off our morning driving into Cabo to go to church. I had heard about Cabo Church on Facebook and also in a chance meeting with a couple who were visiting a wine bar I was helping out with back in Idaho. At this church services and worship are in English and Spanish. Something about singing songs we know and then hearing them also in Spanish was so moving. It was like our two worlds colliding in perfect peace. It’s hard to explain but it was such a gift!

During and after the service I had two women reach out to me to give me their phone numbers. One, to help me get more connected to other women at the church and another to invite Ray and I to a beach Bible study. This was just what I needed❤️

Later that afternoon Ray and I set out to pick up some glassware La Casa de La Cerámica . We had visited there yesterday and were just charmed with the owner. His name is Jose Sanchez and he has such a kind demeanor. His store is filled with ceramic plates and hand blown glassware. I’ve always loved the heavy feel of Mexican blown glass . It is so pretty and each piece is slightly different. Juan said the items he sells most of are the blown glass hearts (corazónses). They are really beautiful.

Hands and hearts full, we returned home to take a quick dip in the pool before dinner. At the pool we met a friendly couple who live in the building next to ours. Juan and Sam have an adorable little 7 month old baby name Amelia. They had been for a swim and were now cooking dinner down at the BBQ by the pool. They took time to talk with us and share a beer with Ray. They shared a few local recommendations with us too😊

One of those recommendations was Trópico for seafood tacos just down the hill from us. They make mainland specialty tacos called pescadillas and a house special ‘tropical taco’ among other menu items. . Both were delicious and very affordable. Gaby served us and is one of the owners. So kind and helpful. She sent us home with a ToGo menu so we could call ahead and order if we wanted to.

Today was just what I needed. I was longing for connection and meeting the people we did today made my heart sing. Blessed beyond what I can imagine or deserve❤️
